06/21/2024 - College World Series Experience - Session 2 Nathaniel is a solid framed 5ft 11/177 3B in the 2024 class. Scouts recently witnessed his actions in Omaha and felt he impacted his team in a positive way. Defensively, he provides security by making gthe routine play look routine. He has positive pre-pitch movements and agile feel. His exchanges are clean and uses multiple arm slots based upon his defensive zones. Scouts would like him to work on a quicker release to assist with his ability to shut down green runners down the line. Had a solid week at the plate. His biggest strength is his barrel feel and he rarely swings and misses. He has the potential for plus power as he matures as a hitter. Overall, Nathaniel had a great week and scouts think he improved his stock.

01/28/2024 - National Showcase - Delray Beach, FL Nathaniel is a 3B who will graduate in 2024. Starts with active footwork and works to center the baseball. Shows ability to pick out hops and has soft hands. Made accurate throws from multiple arm slots, with good carry, and arm velocity up to 80mph. He hits from an upright and open stance. Has ability to repeat his swing. A flat barrel path enables him to square up balls consistently to all fields. Nathaniel should have a bright future with continued development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
