06/09/2021 - All-In Membership - Poplarville, MS Nathaniel is a solid 1B/RHP who will graduate in 2027. At 1B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he displays proper foot work around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall, closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shoed a range of 54-57 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Nathaniel has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
