06/08/2008 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Neil is a tall pitcher with a projectable body. On the mound, Neil towers over hitters and throws on a downward plane. His FB is only in the low 80's now but with a good long toss program he can build that up. His delivery is balanced at the finish and he has a feel for his CB and CH. The ball has sink to it as it is released and he can get even more once he learns to use his lower half. At the plate, Neil gets the barrel to the ball but he is more suited for the mound at this point. He has potential with work.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
