11/09/2008 - College PREP - Miami Shores, FL Nestor is a young pitcher with an idea of how to pitch. On the mound, Nestor has solid arm action and good balance. He finishes the pitch well and lands in a good fielding position. As Nestor gets older and develops, he should be able to increase his overall rating. He has a good delivery, but overall strength is lacking. It is merely due to his young age. It will be interesting to see him in a couple of years because he has polish.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
