04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Seattle, WA Nicholas is a 2024 RHH OF prospect from Sammamish, WA. In the OF, he does a great job with his pre-pitch action. He shows off fluid feet and agile range to all angles. He does a good job of getting in a low fielding position and presenting firm hands out in front with a good glove lane. On fly balls, he routinely gets behind the ball to make the catch. He throws from a 3/4 arm angle and makes accurate throws to his targets with a quick exchange. He recorded a raw velo of 84 MPH in the field. At the plate, he starts with a squared stance and features a short stride while getting a good load. He has impressive balance and his hips work through the baseball with his lower half. He has fast bat speed and makes hard, consistent contact, including taking one out. He definitely has some pull-pop potential. Overall an impressive prospect with more room to improve over the next year!

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nicholas continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding with excellent power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (84 mph velocity) on his throws. Nicholas will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Nicholas is a class of 2024 Outfield prospect. He shows off a tall frame with plenty of room to continue to grow. In the field, he shows good athletic feet as well as taking good first steps. He fields from an athletic position with his hands out front. Does a good job on exchanges and creates momentum to throw. Does an excellent job of working behind and through the baseball. At the plate, he starts in a tall open stance. Does a good job of getting his hands activated in the swing. Shows very good rhythm and timing. Creates consistent contact to all parts of the field. Went 4-8 in live game action with an exit velo high of 93 MPH. Nicholas is a bright young prospect that we expect to see more good things from in the future

06/15/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Redmond, WA Nicholas continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the OF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and he shows a feel for the barrel.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Nicholas is a lean OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
