04/28/2013 - College PREP - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ In Nick's most recent Factory outing, he came out as a RHP/SS. On the bump, he throws three pitches with his curve-ball being his most effective pitch with 10/4 shape, while maintaining fastball arm speed. He displays sound mechanics with a solid use of his lower half and a complete finish. His low 3/4 arm slot effects his control and lack of velocity. With a long toss program, Nick should turn into a solid pitcher. At the dish, he has a tall setup and shows flashes of decent bat speed. Complete use of his lower half will improve his hitting and power numbers. Defensively, he has active feet and decent glove work. Playing lower in his fielding position will increase his chances of securing the ball. We believe Nick projects best on the mound, with an ability to compete in the middle of the field.
