12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Nicholas is a 2024 infielder out of Monroe Township, NJ who continues to impress with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the infield, he displays proper footwork as he works to square balls up. Glove action is clean and fields out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/30/2023 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Nicholas is a 2B in the 2024 class. In the field, he shows solid pre-pitch movements and clean actions. He centers his body to the baseball and gains a low and athletic fielding position. Scouts feel he is a true gamer and can make plays for his team. Arm is quick and on-line to his targets. Feeds and spins around the bag are solid and working to use both hands and his spins, will quicken his release. At the plate, he has smooth and quiet actions. His stride is short and compact and has plus bat speed at 83. Working to gain extension, will allow him to stay on the ball longer and generate more backspin. Overall, Nicholas is a solid player and can help the right college program soon.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
