08/08/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - York, PA Nicholas showed upgrades in all areas of his game during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Nicholas has an aggressive approach to the ball through efficient footwork. He covers ground, makes plays, and his exchange is clean; throwing with a quick release to his target. Offensively, Nicholas has a tall/open stance, a square stride, and an aggressive swing. He swings with good intent, makes consistent contact, and has some pop to the pull side. Nicholas raised arm velocity to 74 MPH and ran his fastest 60 to date at 7.87 seconds.

01/14/2022 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex(Ages 14-18) Nicholas is a scrappy OF/RHP in the class of 2024 out of Oley, PA. In the outfield, he showed efficient footwork by taking good drop steps and working deep angles to the baseball. He tried working behind the ball to create momentum on his throws. His throws were accurate to his cutoffs/bases. As a hitter, he hit with a tall stance and a good stride to find balance in his swing. He liked to work the entire field in his approach. On the bump, he showed good mechanics by separating on time and striding in line to his target. He liked to work ahead of hitters with his 3 pitch mix of fastball, curveball and changeup. Nicholas could benefit from programs/drills such as towel drills, bands, long toss, strength training, lower half hitting, speed & agility.

09/26/2021 - All-In Membership - York, PA Nick is a 2024 OF/RHP. Defensively, Nick showed fluid footwork with good range. He displayed quick feet and the ability to get behind the ball. His throws were on line and had carry through the bags. Offensively, Nick stands tall and takes a short stride. He does a good job of tracking pitches and spraying the ball all over the field. Nick could benefit from some fundamental development to clean up mechanics but overall is a solid ball player.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
