02/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Davie, FL Nickolas is a lean, athletic OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet (7.06 60 time) well in covering a lot ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he shows as a switch hitter but projects best as RHH. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 3 years to further develop, Nickolas has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
