08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Nicky is an athletic1B/RHP who showed as a prospect in his performance at the All Ripken games. At first base, he moves with smooth and fluid actions, showing excellent footwork around the bag and reliable receiving skills. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are strong and work through a level swing path with strength in his swing. On the mound, his fastball sits in the 58-62 mph range with plus command. With more velocity expected as he strengthens his arm through a long toss program and further develops his off-speed pitches, stock on the mound will rise. With significant potential for growth, Nicky has a big upside with a bright future ahead in the game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
