02/13/2022 - All-In Membership - Monticello, IA Noah is a C who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. At C, he showed athletic actions, with an flexible hips, and has an easy sit. Has good glove actions, with good pocket awareness, and tracks ball to mitt. He replaces his feet as he gains ground to second base with good direction. Has a loose arm stroke, with a high 3/4 release point, and arm velocity up to 86mph and a best pop time of 2.06 seconds. He works to keep balls in front of him and is quick to his feet. At the plate, he starts with an athletic and even stance. Showed smooth timing to his swing, with weight between his knees, and has a lower half driven swing. A direct hand path with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee Noah making huge strides on the baseball field.

03/02/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting, Pitching & Catching Combined Weekend (Ages 12-14) Noah is a coachable C/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. On the mound, Noah gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, finishing with a controlled landing. Noah shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 70mph. Breaking ball sits from 48-51mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 58-61mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Finishing square to the plate can help Noah improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and gets into his load smoothly. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact. Noah can improve as a hitter by taking a shorter stride. With four more years to develop, Noah has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.46 range with accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone but will benefit by presenting a lower target. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to get body down sooner. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date. Fastball shows a range of 65-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and develops off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard to be the best player he can be, and plays with a lot of energy.

08/05/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Noah is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Noah has firm/presentable hands, he receives well, and covers ground when blocking. He has a clean exchange, and an accurate arm with carry to his target. On the mound, Noah has a clean arm circle, he separates on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. He rotates through toward his target and is around the zone with his pitches. At the plate, Noah has a tall set-up, a short/square stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He swings on plane, makes square contact, and he uses some lower body. Noah can get better all around with work on the following.

1. Blocking
2. Quicken feet

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
