08/20/2017 - College PREP - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Noah is a thick catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line to his target through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 2.16-2.22 with accuracy / carry on his throws. Time will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he tracks balls well through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to get body down sooner to improve grade. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Noah has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
