06/17/2017 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Noah is a hardworking C/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2018. As a right-handed hitter, Noah has a tall setup with his weight on his heels. He takes a short stride as his lower half leads his swing. Noah has a middle of the field approach with an upward swing path. He shows the ability to drive the ball to the pull side. Behind the plate, Noah has an effective setup and presents a low target. He does a nice job tracking the baseball and receiving it. He is developing a smooth exchange and building arm strength. On the mound, Noah has a good feel for pitching and shows solid poise. He effectively uses his front side throughout his delivery. Noah has a good follow through and finishes ready to field his position. Overall, Noah has a well-rounded skill set and good potential to get even better with development.

11/13/2016 - College PREP - North Charleston, SC Noah is a lean, athletic catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, hands / feet work well together in getting rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show a range of 2.27-2.45 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level as he continues to develop and get more reps. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. With 2 years to further develop, Noah has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
