06/15/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Noah continued to show as an OF/LHP but currently projects slightly better on the mound for the next level. Arm strength has improved as he threw his best velocity to date, topping out at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 80-81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with sharp breaking action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a plus feel for with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. At the event, he has 4 quality innings. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program. In the OF, foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.02. He utilizes his quick feet well in tracking down balls but needs to work on taking better routes / angles in working to get behind and improving defensive grade. At the plate, he displays quick hands, flashing bad speed through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and uses his lower half well. At the event, he was 3 for 10 with 3 BB as he displays a solid eye at the plate. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable.
