11/11/2012 - College PREP - Fresno, CA Noah is a tall, lanky SS that will graduate in 2015. Feet are active as he works to square balls up, displays proper foot work and displays clean hands. He needs to improve foot quickness, play through balls, and present hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate, flashing carry as he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Padilla shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are loose and he makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. He needs to work to keep hands inside the ball, increase bat speed and get front foot down sooner to work on time and improve hitting grade. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. With 3 years to further develop, Noah has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
