07/29/2014 - Under Armour Southwest Championships, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Nolan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.13 runner. He utilizes his quick feet well as he moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he shows big play potential. Throws are accurate with carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through an aggressive approach. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/24/2014 - College PREP - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Nolan is a exciting prospect who is an athlete on the diamond. Defensively, he shows good prep and works on the balls of his feet. Glove presentation is out in front with quick actions and ball is clean from glove to hand. He plays through the ball well and fires strong throws to 1B. At the plate, this RHH displays an athlete approach with a strong base. He whips the barrel with plus bat speed and uses his lower 1/2 well to generate pop to all parts of the field. Nolan has the complete skill-set that will garner him attention from college coaches.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
