01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Owen is a 2026 SS who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Owen showed great athleticism in his measurables running a 1.68 10-yard and 6.82 60-yard dash, which transferred on the diamond. In the infield, he has active footwork and covers ground laterally. He takes good angles towards the ball and makes routine plays look easy. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good accuracy and momentum across the diamond. Owen did a great job on slow rollers holding his line and working towards first base. At the plate, he starts in a square stance and has a short stride. He has an activated load and smooth rhythm. Owen gets his lower ½ through and has good bat speed. His bat path stays on-plane for a long time which created a lot of line-drives during batting practice. With a few years left of high school, we expect Owen to continue to get stronger and mature on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
