04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Parker is a class of 2024 1B/OF. Medium frame stout build with strength present. At 1B, he shows efficient footwork and tracks the ball to glove. Showed ability to pick out hops and spins glove side. Parker made on-line throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 81mph. Has good footwork around the bag. In the OF, he tries to play through the baseball and works to center the baseball. Runs good routes to baseballs with a high 1-hand catch. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Showed late bat whip with a good bat angle at contact point. Takes an aggressive swing with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph. With another year of development, we see this 2-way player having a bright future on the baseball field.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Parker continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities and did so at the IMG World Seres. At 1B, he shows smooth/fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He utilizes his foot quickness and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

05/15/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Waco, TX Parker is a 1B prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame stocky build with strength present and room to add throughout. Ran his 60 yard dash in 7.0 seconds. At 1B, he works to center the ball and showed ability to make routine plays. Creates good fielding angles, with ability to pick out hops, and works behind the baseball with his eyes behind glove. Fields from a square fielding position, with hands out front, and has a clean transfer. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and arm velocity to second base up to 80mph. Showed good bag awareness and ability to spin glove side on his throws. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and crouched stance. He swings with intent, with natural strength in swing, and has quick hand speed. He is centered at contact with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 89mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Parker making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
