12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Parker continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. Behind the dish, he sits low in a comfortable stance and presents a solid target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times time have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.25. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with a 2B. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 72-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with sweeping action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. He is poised and shows a good mound presence. Parker is very coachable and works hard on the field.

11/12/2023 - National Showcase - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Parker is an athletic and talented C/RHP in the 2027 class. Behind the plate, his feet work well and he centers his body to the baseball. Gains a low and athletic stance and receives with his eyes behind the baseball. Pocket is firm and shows strong presentation. Can redirect with clean actions and uses an over-the-top release at 2.28. Working to stay closed with his front side will allow a more in-line approach to 2B. On the mound, he pounds the zone from a high 3 qtr. slot. His FB sat 75-6 with run. His CB shaped at 11-5 and ranged 64-5. His CH is excellent and provides depth and movement at 67-8. At the plate, he has a balanced set-up and uses a short stride. Timing is fluid and stays inside his feet well. He gets his backside through and generates line drive production. Overall, Parker is a player to watch in the 2027 class.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Parker is a C/OF prospect in the class of 2027. At the plate, he showed good feel for his swing throughout the weekend. Simple set up and load helped him get into consistent launch positions. He did a good job of staying on time and tracking the ball deep into his barrel. Worked mainly pull side in his round of BP. In the field, he showed good overall actions at both positions. Behind the plate, he did a good of presenting low targets as well as sitting deep in his squat. Could benefit from a long toss program. In the outfield, he showed good feet and range to both sides of him. Did a good job creating momentum to throw. Parker is an exciting young prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

12/04/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Parker continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Select Training event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.30 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss.

04/03/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Parker is a C/RHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2027. A young/developing player who has plenty of time to add strength. Behind the dish, he showed good footwork and an easy sit. He presents a low target and tracks pitches well. Tries to work around ball with good direction towards second base. Showed sure hands and clean exchange. Showed a short arm stroke on his throws down to 2nd base with an arm velocity up to 69mph and a best pop time of 2.43 seconds. On the mound, Parker gathers over the rubber, with a clean leg lift, and lands square to his target. He has a loose arm stroke and works at the bottom of the zone. He attacks hitters with FB that sits 61-63mph with plus command, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. This right-handed hitter hits from an open and athletic stance. Takes a square glide step, with fluid timing to his swing, and rotates his lower half to contact point. Shows a flat barrel as he hit balls consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having a good high school career.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
