Parker New, 1B/LHP
2027, Marlton, NJ
Great LH swing overall, plus swing path, stays compact and accelerates through contact nicely. Stays fluid through the entire swing and has a very quick time to contact. Consistent hard contact and great trajectory to play as a gap to gap hitter. Develop a little more lower 1/2 strength and we can see Parker will develop into a very solid LHH.
On the mound, has very good feel for his body mechanics and pitch mix. Good tail and run on the FB (67-70mph), utilizes a 2 Seam grip. Breaking ball (54-57mph) dives across the zone nicely and shows he has very good feel and control for the pitch. Rounds out his arsenal with a very good CH (59-62mph), uses FB arm speed to create deception and good downward movement makes it tough for hitters to find the barrel.
