12/01/2019 - College PREP - Pensacola, FL Parker is a RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Parker gathers over the rubber and works with a quick arm. He stays inline towards the plate and works both sides of the plate well. Parker shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits at 61mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 72mph with good sinking action. Keeping his glove tucked can help Parker improve as a pitcher. In the field, Parker shows active footwork and covers ground well. He fields with a firm glove and makes a clean exchange. He gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Parker can improve defensively by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load and works to barrel up the baseball, producing solid gap to gap pop. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Parker improve as a hitter. Overall, Parker is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
