10/23/2013 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic Parker continues to show solid abilities in his game. Behind the dish he sits in well and tracks the ball into the zone. He has a clean exchange, gains ground toward 2B and fires the ball down to his target. He has a smooth transfer and clean actions. At the plate, Parker is a quick twitch guy who is short and quick to the zone. He squares the ball up and hits line-drives. He shows some pull-side pop and will continue to increase his power with more extension through contact. Parker is young and still has a lot of time to develop his game.

04/28/2013 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Parker is a young catcher who has a solid skill-set. Defensively behind the plate, this backstop has a quiet setup and looks the ball into hit mitt. He has active footwork and works around balls in the dirt to block them off of his chest. Offensively, this right-handed hitter shows an open stance and good balance. He tracks the ball into the zone and uses his lower 1/2 well to create some pop, as he has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. As only a 2017 graduate, Parker has a lot of time to progress as he has a bright future in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
