12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Holiday Classic (HS) Parker is a 2027 first baseman and right-handed pitcher from Gig Harbor, WA, who showcased his abilities at the Baseball Factory West Coast Holiday Camp. On the field, he has a quick first step and plays with a low fielding position, keeping his hands out front with a good internal clock. He gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with good carry to all bases. At the plate, Parker starts in an open and upright stance with high hands, getting on plane early and keeping the barrel in the hitting zone for a long time. He had two singles, reached on an error, and added an RBI during the games, though he needs to work on getting his front foot down sooner. On the mound, Parker shows a confident demeanor, separates his hands on time, and accelerates out front with a controlled landing. He keeps his eyes on the target and struck out four while only allowing two hits in three innings of work. He's not afraid to pitch inside to right-handed hitters. As a sophomore, Parker has plenty of time to continue his growth and development.

01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Parker is a 2027 1B/RHP who showcased his talents at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 1B, he starts in an athletic position and has good initial instincts. He tries to create angles and gets into a square fielding position. He shows good feel around the bag and is very agile. He throws from a 3/4 slot and has accurate throws around the infield. At the plate, he has a closed stance and comfortable hands. He has an activated load and controlled rhythm. Parker does a good job getting in his lower ½ thru and keeps his barrel on-plane through the zone. He made consistent contact and had a good line-drive approach. In game, he showed good plate awareness picking up several walks and also a single. On the mound, Parker showed a fastball that he showed great command for. He was able to throw it to all sides of the plate and created some weak contact. He has a repeatable motion and proper stride length. He tried to mix up looks with runners on and kept them guessing. We are excited to see what Parker can achieve as he continues to get strong and faster.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
