03/26/2017 - College PREP - Kentfield (San Francisco), CA Pascal is a wiry built shortstop prospect who has an above average skill set and graduates in 2018. In the field, Pascal plays with effective pre-pitch actions and quick footwork giving him the ability to cover good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball athletically looking smooth in each direction laterally. Pascal has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball and shows strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, Pascal has an athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride. Pascal has fast bat speed and a direct swing path doing a nice job of obtaining extension at contact. He engages his hips throughout his swing and has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Pascal has talent on both sides of the ball and potential to get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
