10/27/2010 - Arizona Fr/So Fall Classic - 2010 Patrick is a young (2013) two-way player on the mound plus at 1B with an above average frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature and fill out. Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Delivery is repeatable as he shows sound mechanics that allows his arm action to work loose and free to the plate. Arm strength is solid average as he topped out at 81 mph. Fastball shows a range of 75-81 mph on a slight downhill plane. Breaking ball shows potential as being a quality pitch displaying downward tilt with tight spin but needs to work on throwing more strikes. Changeup is average flashing fade but needs to work on more consistent release point. At 1B, feet are active but needs to be more aggressive on his approach on ground balls. Footwork is clean but needs to increase foot quickness through a speed / agility program. Glove action is clean as he makes the routine plays. Offensively, Geraghty shows strength in his swing through a solid load with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. He has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching his full potential with grades improving quickly with instruction and adjustments. His best trait is his attitude and desire to learn as he is very coachable. With 3 years to further develop, Patrick has a lot of potential on the mound and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
