10/31/2021 - All-In Membership - El Paso, TX Paul is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. Tall frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. At SS, he starts with a good prep step, with quick/fluid feet, and good body control at baseball. Works around baseball, with good direction towards target, and showed good lateral range. Fields from an athletic/low fielding position, and hands out front. Made accurate/on-line throws, with momentum to target, and an arm velocity up to 88mph. On the mound, gathers over the rubber, with a good rear hip coil, and has a quick arm. He works fast and throws with intent. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with eyes on target, and works with good direction down the mound. Flashed a FB that sat 82-84mph with arm side run, an 10/4 breaking ball with sharp break, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. CB has potential to be a swing and miss pitch and was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. He uses his legs well as he hits into a firm front side and swings with intent. A direct barrel path to ball as he hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 88mph. With another year of development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
