06/07/2023 - National Showcase - Houston, TX Paul is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At SS shows quick/fluid footwork, with athletic actions, and good body control at the baseball. He shows ability to cover ground in all directions and fields from an athletic/low fielding position with soft hands out front. Has a short/short arm stroke in back with ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base, with momentum to his target, and an arm velocity up to 88mph. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance. Short glide step starts swing with good hand separation and shows late bat whip. Gets a good lower half turn as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. With another year of development, we foresee Paul having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
