02/19/2024 - National Showcase - Parker , CO Pax is a 2029 OF/RHP prospect that recently showed his skills at the National Showcase in Parker. In the OF, he shows off active feet to the baseball and takes solid angles. He does well to square the ball up and catch the ball high. He gets good reads on the baseball and has an impressive glove lane. He has a clean exchange and makes consistent throws with a loose arm action. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance and has a short stride with a good load and a line drive approach. He works hard to keep his balance centered and explode through the baseball. His hips do a nice job of finishing when not anchored. He is able to spray the ball to the opposite field. On the mound, Pax shows a lot of room for growth and an impressive feel for the position. He gets on-time separation and has a clean arm action. He extends through his release and has a good follow through. He has a good glove arm and a proper stride length. He is able to throw all three of his pitches for strikes and shows off tail with the FB and CH. Pax is an intriguing prospect that shows a lot of room for growth in his development and will definitely be one to keep an eye on!

12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Pax is a 2029 OF/RHP out of Englewood, CO who showcased his skills during the BF East Coast Winter Classic. In the OF he starts on the balls of his feet and runs good routes to balls. He works behind the ball and has a high 1-hand catch. Has a clean gather off of his left foot as he made accurate throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 63mph. This right-handed pitcher starts square to the plate and has a sure demeanor. He strides in line and gets his chest to his glove. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 60mph with some arm side run, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with sinking action. At the plate he hits from an athletic and tall stance with loose hands. Hits into a firm front side and is centered at contact. Has a flat barrel path with ability to keep his hands inside the baseball. In live game action he had quality AB's and made consistent contact. Pax is hard worker and loves to play the game. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Parker (Denver), CO Pax is a lean OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 59-60 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Pax has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
