12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Perry is a 2027 C out of Pflugerville, TX who showcased his skills during the BF Christmas Camp and Tournament in Pirate City. He has quiet actions and presents a target pitchers love throwing to. Behind the plate he tracks pitches well and gains ground to second on his throws. Had an arm velocity up to 77mph and a best pop time of 2.4 seconds. At the plate he hits from an upright and square stance with high hands. Has a short stride and has fluid timing. In live game action, he showed good plate discipline and reached base 2 times. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

07/16/2023 - National Showcase - San Jose , CA Perry is a C/OF prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of time to add throughout. At C he has active feet and presents a low target. Good lateral movement, with good blocking angles, and centers the baseball. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 76mph and a best pop time was 2.22 seconds. Was quick down on his blocks and has a good spine angle. In the OF he works behind the baseball with ability to make routine plays. A right-handed hitter he hits from an athletic and open stance. Relaxed setup, with smooth rhythm, and ability to control the barrel. He hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 68mph during BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Perry making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
