01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Peter is a strong (6'3"/180) LHH 1B. Defensively, he has active footwork with fluid actions covering some ground laterally. He makes the plays with soft hands and gathers well. As a hitter, this lefty shows a square/athletic setup with centered balance. Swing is level as he engages his lower 1/2 and drives the ball with some pop back up the middle of the field. Cowley is a well-rounded athlete who has upside and will make an impact in this his junior year.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
