01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Peyton Adams is a (5'11/170) athletic frame two-way player in the 2024 class. The young impressive OF/LHP out Texas displays a variety of tools that project him into a well-rounded player. In the outfield he has the ability to run down balls and has good fundamentals being able to get behind the ball and position himself into the through. Has some arm strength with a raw velocity of 83mph and it will begin to translate from the outfield as improves his exchange and uses the lower-half to guide his throw. Stays centered at the plate and consistently squares up the ball. Currently a pull-side approach but with maturity and strength gains he shows the upside to be a gap to gap hitter. As a pitcher, he brings a 3 pitch mix that consist of FB/CB/CH. The FB has good life with cut in run in the mid 70mph range. With the good tempo and balanced mechanics he shows the velocity and pitch arsenal will continue to improve. Peyton possesses many smooth and fluid athletic actions that give him great upside in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
