08/25/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Peyton is a solid, athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays OF. On the mound, Peyton has good balance over the rubber and a quick arm action. He separates his hands on time, gets solid extension on his pitches, and finishes in a complete position. In the OF, Peyton has quick/fluid footwork to the ball, he fields aggressively, and makes plays with a consistent arm to his cut off man. Offensively, Peyton can switch hit and is equally as good from both sides of the plate. From the left, he has a good approach, a level/direct swing path, and he works it gap to gap. From the right, Peyton has an aggressive swing, some bat speed, and he uses his lower body. Solid skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
