12/11/2016 - College PREP - Thousand Oaks, CA Peyton is a hardworking OF prospect who graduates in 2020. In the field, Peyton plays with active footwork and covers good ground with an aggressive approach. He takes effective angles laterally and fields the ball in a square position as he presents his glove. Peyton has clean exchange leading into a long, loose arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball and his throws are online. Offensively, Peyton has a tall stance and keeps his weight back. His swing path is direct with a contact approach. Peyton shows solid contact to all fields and with strong results to the pull side. Overall, Peyton has a solid skill set and the potential to get even better with development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
