01/16/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Peyton is a RHP/OF who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.91 seconds. A right-handed pitcher, has long levers and a projectible frame. He shows good rhythm to his delivery with good direction to towards the plate. Easy delivery with ability to repeat it. He separates his hands on-time with good extension out front. Throws a FB that was up to 82mph with arm side run. He mixes in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a developing changeup that had some sinking action. In the OF, takes aggressive angles to balls, with quick/fluid footwork, and showed good instincts as he worked behind and through the baseball. He fields from an athletic fielding position with a quick/clean gather off of his left foot. Made accurate and on-line throws, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 85mph. At the plate, he sets up with an athletic and even stance. Gets his hands separated, with quickness to hands, and is balanced at contact. A direct allows him to hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph during his round of BP. With another of growth and development, we foresee this 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

09/21/2022 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2024) Peyton continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona Jr Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.97 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate he continues shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half work well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 7 with a 3B. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his low ¾ arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball shows good tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/01/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Washington, DC Peyton is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Peyton shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, producing strong gap to gap power. On the mound, Peyton gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Peyton operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 59-62mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 67-69mph with arm side run. Overall, Peyton is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he continues to progress.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
