08/03/2023 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament (HS) Peyton continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Pro Select Training. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a square setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 60-61 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard on the field.

03/19/2023 - National Showcase - Tulsa, OK Peyton is a 2025 RHP/1B prospect from Cherryvale, KS. At first base, Peyton displays efficient feet and makes all the routine plays. He is very bag aware and does a good job of keeping everything in front of him. He has a good glove angle when fielding ground balls. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws with a long arm action and online throwing strength. At the plate, he features a tall stance with an open stride. He tracks the ball well and swings with intent. Contact hitter that displayed a little pop. Works hard to get his lower 1/2 more involved. On the mound, Peyton features a 3-pitch mix and throws from a 3/4 arm angle. His FB reached a velo of 69 and he is able to work both sides of the plate with the pitch. CB features 11-5 break and he releases it from behind his head. He throws with intent with the help of a very repeatable delivery. He does a good job of rotating to the target and staying squared. Works downhill and has a loose arm action and extends through his pitches. Has a good chance of refining his offerings over the next few years of high school and beyond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
