Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OFPosition Projection

02/26/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Peyton is a tall, lean OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to be on time. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and good depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With 5 years to further develop, Peyton has an upside and the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
