06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Peyton continues shine on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and play through with is body he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (6.96 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and has strength with gap to gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Peyton is a lean, athletic 2B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.13. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with 2 2B. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-78 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 3 years to further develop, Peyton has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
