05/30/2010 - College PREP - Nashville, TN Quenton is an OF with a small frame and quick twitching actions. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.17 60 time as he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls in the OF. He will benefit by working to get behind balls to play through with momentum to his target. Arm slot is overage the top with throws flashing carry as he will benefit by finishing throws with his feet and getting on a long toss program. Offensively, Braden shows a balanced approach as he sits in well allowing his hands to work inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching full potential with grades improving quickly with instruction and adjustments at the plate. Quenton has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
