12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Quintin is a solid SS in the 2029 class. He recently impressed scouts at the West Coast Winter Classic with his energy, athletic ability and effort. In the field, he has a relaxed feel and stays under control. His feet work well with his body and is on-time to field the baseball. He fields out in front and can redirect with clean actions. The ball sticks to his glove and his release is quick. Arm plays at 65 and is accurate to his targets. At the plate, he showed excellent balance and a solid swing. He has controlled actions at the plate and gets his barrel on-plane. Does a solid job with two strikes and scouts want him to attack his pitch more early in the count. Overall, Quintin is a solid 2029 player with a bright future.

09/04/2023 - National Showcase - Fresno, CA Quintin is a SS who will graduate high school in 2029. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS he works from right to left, with good agility, and will layout. Works into a low fielding position, with a quick transfer, and fields out front. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 62mph. At the plate he hits from a tall and open stance. Gets knob to C and rotates his lower half to baseball. During his round of BP, he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 62mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Quintin having a bright future at the high school level and beyond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
