10/30/2016 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Quinton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and squares up well through a low approach. Hands are clean and he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength. At the plate, he shows an open / athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Working to get stride foot down sooner to work on time will aid in improving hitting abilities.

08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Quinton is an athletic 2B who worked hard on his skills during his time in Pirate City. In the MIF, he shows smooth/athletic actions and works fluidly from right to left around the GB. He has a quick transfer/release from glove but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. As a hitter - he is aggressive and looks to jump on 1st pitch FB's. Swing path is level and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/05/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Quinton is a coachable player who plays the game the right way. He leaves it all on the field. With the bat, this righty has good zone awareness and doesn't swing at much that he cannot handle. He tracks pitches into the zone with quiet/relaxed actions, swings on a level path and squares the ball up. Once on base, he is aggressive and isn't afraid to take the extra bag. Working to be more aggressive early in the count will help him to jump on 1st pitch FB's. At 2B - Buresh has active footwork and moves well laterally to GB's hit to his right and left. He comes to get the GB at him, secures the ball with 2-hands and has a clean exchange to throw. Working more from the ground-up along with playing through the ball more will help to take his defensive abilities to the next level. Quinton is a gamer who (2018 grad) still has a lot of time to polish his skills and physically mature.

10/04/2015 - College PREP - Wichita, KS Quinton is a young (2018 grad) R/R MIF. Defensively, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into his mitt. He secures the ball, gathers well and makes accurate throws to 1B. Developing his footwork/agility will help to increase his lateral range and take his defensive skills to the next level. Offensively, Buresh has a balanced setup with simple/quiet actions. He has some quick twitch, jumps on pitches that he likes and drives the middle of the field. Added strength and more bat speed will result in increased power at the plate. A 2018 grad - Quinton still has a ton of time to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
