09/19/2021 - All-In Membership - Hobbs, NM Ramon is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build and room to add throughout. Primary SS who starts with active/efficient feet, with ability to cover ground in all directions, and athletic actions. Good crossover steps enable him to create good fielding angles as he fields from an athletic/low fielding position. Showed ability to pick out hops and throw from multiple arm angles. Made accurate/on-line throws across diamond, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Has a fluid swing, with good hand separation, and rotates lower half to his contact point. Direct barrel path as he gets extended out front and makes square contact. He hit line drives to all fields consistently with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. Ramon should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued growth and development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
