04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Redsy is a 2024 C prospect with an athletic frame at 5'8" 175 pounds. Behind the dish, he shows off efficient feet. He gets in a low, athletic fielding position and gives a nice low target to his pitcher. He has a quick exchange and release and makes accurate throws to his targets. Works hard to catch the ball with soft hands. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance and has a nice short stride with an early load. He shows a ton of intent and does a good job of letting his lower half lead his swing. He does a great job of getting good extension through contact and squares the ball up consistently, working the gaps. We are excited to see more of Redsy as he continues to develop his already impressive baseball abilities!

04/24/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Redsy is a C in the class of 2024 out of Southhampton, NJ. Defensively, he showed great leadership qualities behind the dish by communicating well with his teammates by getting them aligned. He had aggressive feet moving well to cover ground to block pitches and showing quick short steps on throw downs. His throws were on target and on line to the bag. He presents his glove early to give pitchers a target then works from the ground up to keep his thumb underneath the ball with soft hands receiving. At the plate, he uses a square athletic stance with good smooth timing to get into a strong hitting position. From there, he works his hands inside and on plane to the baseball with quick hands. His lower half works well which allows him to stay on the ball and hit it hard to all fields. Redsy is a solid player who will continue to improve on his game due to his hard working characteristics.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
