11/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Pittsburgh, PA Reece is a big/solid, 2-way player who plays 1B and RHP. Defensively, Reece has clean hands, playable footwork around the bag, and he fields in a square position. He keeps the ball in front of his body, and has an accurate arm to his target. Lighter/quicker feet, and a quicker exchange will help improve abilities at 1B. On the mound, Reece has good balance, a clean arm circle, and he works well to his balance point. He has on-time separation, good direction toward home, and he throws strikes. More glove side pull and finish can help mound effectiveness further improve. Offensively, Reece is a strong/aggressive hitter with quick hands. He has fast bat speed, he makes hard/consistent contact, and he has solid pull side pop. Good hitting numbers can get even better with more load, balance, and better timing.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
