01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Reese continues to develop as a promising prospect, showcasing steady improvements in his baseball abilities. Defensively at first base, he demonstrates above-average skills with smooth, fluid actions. His active footwork allows him to move efficiently around the bag, making him a quality receiver. His hands are clean and present well out front, while his lateral movement and foot quickness help him cover a lot of ground. His throws are accurate with good carry to his target. At the plate, his power potential has significantly improved through an open setup. His quick hands (83 mph exit velocity) work through an aggressive swing path, generating strength in his swing with a strong feel for the barrel. His power shows best to the pull side. On the mound, his fastball sits in the 71-74 mph range with good arm-side run, complemented by a breaking ball with a sharp 1/7 shape and downward break. He attacks hitters effectively, consistently throwing strikes with all his pitches. As he continues to build arm strength through a long toss program, his stock on the mound will continue to rise.

10/09/2024 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic (2028) Reece Ohalloran is a promising two-way prospect who showcased his skills both defensively and on the mound at the Arizona Freshman Fall Classic. Defensively, Reece demonstrated a clean exchange and quick first step at first base, which allowed him to make plays efficiently and with confidence. His accurate arm and athletic stance in the field give him a solid foundation as a first baseman, and his ability to move quickly around the bag makes him a strong presence defensively. On the mound, Reece’s fastball was clocked at 75 MPH, with a curveball at 61 MPH and a changeup at 62 MPH. He shows solid control of his secondary pitches, allowing him to keep hitters off balance. As he continues to refine his pitching mechanics and increase his velocity, Reece has the potential to develop into a more consistent and effective pitcher. At the plate, Reece has demonstrated pull-side power, consistently making hard contact with the ball. His good timing and ability to drive the ball make him a threat offensively. During the tournament, Reece collected two singles and a double, showing his ability to find gaps and hit for extra bases. Additionally, he drew one walk, further demonstrating his approach at the plate and discipline in working counts. Overall, Reece Ohalloran is a well-rounded prospect with solid defensive fundamentals, promising pitching tools, and a good offensive approach. With continued focus on refining his pitching velocity and adding more power to his swing, Reece has the potential to become a dynamic contributor both on the mound and at the plate.

08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Reece is a solid, strong 1B/RHP who showed as a prospect at the All Ripken Games. At first base, he moves smoothly with fluid actions, showing excellent footwork around the bag and reliable receiving skills. His range is expected to improve as he enhances his foot quickness. At the plate, he displays a squared setup with strong hands working through a level swing path, delivering power with strength in his swing. On the mound, his fastball ranges between 73-79 mph. He shows a good mound presence and throws strikes with all his pitches. As he continues to build velocity by strengthening his arm through a long toss program and refining his off-speed pitches, his stock on the mound will rise. Reece has the makings of a special type player, possibly as a two-way guy.

05/19/2024 - All-In National Showcase - York, PA Reece is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2028. Shows efficient footwork and creates good fielding angles. Has a clean exchange and a quick release. Made accurate throws to all bases with an arm velocity up to 81mph. Shows good footwork around the bag with ability to scoop baseballs. On the mound, he shows good rhythm and picks up target early. Gets a good rear hip coil and takes the proper stride length. A 3-pitch pitcher who mixes a fastball, a 2/8 shaped slider, and a developing changeup. A left-handed hitter who starts with an athletic and open stance. Gets his hands activated and is centered at contact. A flat barrel path enables him to hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. Reece should have a bright future on the baseball field with continued growth and development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
