08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Reed made a strong impression on scouts with his pitching performance at the All-Ripken games. For his age group, he demonstrated above-average command on the mound, effectively hitting both sides of the plate and consistently attacking hitters. His competitive spirit and passion for the game were evident as he played extremely hard throughout the event. At the plate, Reed recorded multiple hits, showcasing his solid bat-to-ball skills, including a standout double down the left field line. One of his most commendable qualities was his sportsmanship and respect for his opponents and the game, which sets a positive example on and off the field. With his combination of pitching prowess and character, Reed is certainly a rising prospect to watch as he continues to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
