03/04/2018 - College PREP - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Regan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and he has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an outstanding runner at 6.91. At the plate he has improved his power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a compact swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap power. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. On the bump, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his loose, quick arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as indicated by his top velocity of 80 mph. Fastball showed range of 77-80 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for pitch with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

03/05/2017 - College PREP - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Regan is a hardworking 1B prospect who has a projectable frame (6'0"/155) and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Regan has a square, athletic stance with a firm front side and centered balance. He maintains direction with his stride and has an on-plane swing path. He gets good separation with the correct bat angle at contact. Regan is a line drive type hitter who has the ability to drive the ball to each gap. Defensively, he shows active footwork and comes to get the GB. He moves well laterally, makes the plays with soft hands and gather swell. He has quick footwork around the bag and adjusts to throws up and down the line. Overall, Regan has good potential and bright future on the diamond.

07/24/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Regan is a solid/athletic 2-way player as a 1B/RHP. With the bat, this RHH shows a slightly open setup with rhythm in his hands. He tracks pitches into the zone and waits for his pitch. He likes the ball middle-in and pulls it down the line with some pop. Striding more square and engaging more of his lower 1/2 will result in increased power at the plate. At 1B, Sinclair has active footwork and hustles to get the GB. He makes the plays and gathers well. Getting more prep footwork on the balls of his feet will help to increase lateral range in the INF. On the bump, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot and loose/free arm action. He maintains fluid tempo and works at a smooth pace. Strong front side lead and strong lower 1/2 drive allow him to push off the rubber and work in-line toward the plate. FB has slight tail as he mixes it in and out. Curveball shows to be most effective pitch with 11/5 shape and good action. Continuing to develop his off-speed stuff will make him that much more effective on the mound. Regan has a ton of upside with still a lot of time to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
