08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Reston showed his bat to ball skills during the All-Ripken event in Aberdeen. A participant for Team Freedom, he showed a toe tap load at the plate and the ability to apply pressure to the defense putting the ball in play consistently. One of his highlights at the plate was hitting a triple to right center field. In any situation he showed he is a competitor with plus offensive mechanics for his age. Defensively he showed his athletic movement to the baseball along with soft hands. As Reston continues to grow and gain strength, he is a prospect to watch.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
