01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Rex is an athletic OF who showed as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding. He utilizes his aggressive feet and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. His 7.25 60 time helps in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, hitting / power potential is solid through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Rex has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continue to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
