01/01/2013 - 2013 Baseball Factory Top 100, powered by Under Armour RHP with solid combination of low 90s fastball and deceptive change. Long arm action on the backside makes ball look to jump out of hand but can hinder command.

08/18/2012 - Under Armour All-America Game Tyler has a lean frame with length at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds. Even in a short outing like this one, it was apparent that he has a good feel for pitching. In addition to his low 90s fastball, he called upon his mid 70s breaking ball and low 70s change early and often. His fastball and change have good arm side life, since his fingers are on the side of the ball at release. The same thing gives his breaking ball a bit of a sweeping break. His arm has depth from the glove, along with some wrap, and offers the hitting some deception with a lower arm angle out front than his posture would normally indicate. An interesting RHP with deception and a usable three pitch, including velocity.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
