04/14/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Plano (DFW), TX Ross is a young, 2-way player who plays OF and 1st base. In the OF, Ross has active feet, he is aggressive to the ball, and he takes proper angles. He makes the routine plays and throws with a long arm action with accuracy to his target. At 1st base, Ross fields out front, his hands are playable, and he throws with accuracy and some carry to his target. Offensively, Ross showed a square set-up, average bat speed, and he stays on top of the baseball. Overall abilities can improve if Ross can work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
